ImageThe latest celtic roadshow meeting took place last night in the club The hall was packed with about 300 supporters eager to put their questions to the Celtic duo, Tony Hamilton chaired the event, with his brother Michael running around with the radio microphone. The question came fast and furiously, with everyone who spoke congratulating Lenny on his appointment, and wishing him every success for the new season. I guess since the appointment of Lenny everyone wants to know who is coming in and who is leaving, Lenny spoke very highly of Sol Campbell and Jimmy Bullard, two players who he admires very much and who he would love to have at the club; he also stated that he would love Aiden Mc Geady to remain at Celtic, but he is realistic in football terms about the finances at the this time; he confirmed to the hall that Charlie Mulgrew had signed. Talking about finances Peter Lawwell stated once again that all the money from season ticket sales goes directly to the football team budget, so we need to maximise the number of season tickets sold, the more season tickets sold, the bigger the transfer budget, simple enough; as lenny has already stated, lets get Celtic Park fill to the rafters; and let the opposition tremble as the Lion's Roar once again. Neil emphasised that they players will be highly motivated for the new season, no player will be under any illusions about what is expected of them when they have the great honout of pulling on the Celtic jersey; him and his backroom staff of Thommo and big Johan will make sure of that. There were no surprises in the question that were asked; it was the usual stuff; mostly about the playing staff; the only thing stated was that the new coach park thankfully will be opened for the start of the new season; In closing the meeting both Peter lawwell and Lenny stated that they will do everything in their power to get Celtic back to the top of the League; we are in this together, the Board, the Manager and playing staff; and the most important people of all, us the supporters; we must play our part by getting right behind the Manager and the Team. thanks to Peter and Lenny for attending; and again thanks to the most important people, the supporters who turned up and made it a very enjoyable Celtic night. more pictures from the night are on the gallery page
